Improvements to AP VDC to show correct cost price when ordering for future due dates
The point of an AP VDC is to show the correct inventory item price on a purchase order when ordering. However, when an inventory item has a current VDC price (say to 31 March 2026) with another entry effective for the new price from 01 April 2026, when generating a purchase order with a due date in April, the March pricing appears. AP VDC should show the correct pricing for future dated orders.
What is the workaround for the problem today?
Manually look up the price and adjust the purchase order. If this is missed, then the PO has to be reprocessed back to the supplier.
