Welcome to the Sage 200 Evolution ideas Portal
In the maintenance inventory items screen one can see all the codes and quantities of all items including SO & PO & MFP - however all warehouses are grouped together. If we can filter the warehouses, then we could at one glance see all the stock in a specific warehouse/s with the ability to enquire transactions and also see SO & PO & MFP as well as similar or substitutable products. This would facilitate production planning & sales, remove room for error - selling items not in a specific warehouse, and speed up the enquiries process. The inventory items maintenance screen is a one stop screen for all items and is easy to use and access all information past & present but lacks the warehouse filtering option in the main screen. It is the most comprehensive screen for inventory queries. The column I am looking for already exists with the filtering functionality in the enquiries inventory transactions screen. Please could we add this to grid options in the inventory maintenance screen either the warehouse name or code column. Individual users could set their warehouse filters per region, and this would remain in their registry, giving all an easy to use relatively error free solution.
What is the workaround for the problem today?
To right click on the specific code - then choose enquire, then choose warehouses (room for error when in a hurry and you forget to check the warehouses). Repeat for each item you are looking at. Or go to the enquiries inventory transactions screen and type in each code and view filtering per warehouse/s and repeat for each item. Thus, not able to see all similar items at the same time. We currently have an excel spreadsheet of the storeroom that we have to view in conjunction with the inventory items maintenance screen. |
